Welcome

Welcome to Paradise Meadows Orchard & Bee Farm, home of Hawaii's Local Buzz brand of award-winning 100% Hawaiian Ka'u Coffee, fabulous 100% Hawaiian Macadamia Nuts, 100% Hawaiian Honey, Tropical Shortbread cookies, and a variety of Chocolate Covered treats including Chocolate Covered Macadamia Nuts and Chocolate Covered Coffee Beans. Paradise Meadows was recently named the Best Chocolate Shop in the entire state of Hawaii by Yelp! Come on by and taste for yourself.

Paradise Meadows occupies 75 idyllic acres in the South Point (aka Ka Lae) area of the Big Island of Hawaii. South Point itself is the southern-most part of the United States, and is located just 12 miles south of our farm on South Point Road. We grow a wide variety of crops including more than 60 acres of the best coffee you've ever tasted. We also, as our name would suggest, have beehives, and you can sample the variety of honeys that they produce year-round.

We have a farm stand that is open 7 days a week from 9 AM - 5:30 PM where you can get free samples of all of our delicious products and enjoy a brief self-guided tour of the farm. If you're planning to visit the Big Island of Hawaii and are looking for something a little different to do, please pay us a visit. Our visitors often tell us that a visit to our farm was one of the highlights of their vacation in Hawaii. When you come down South Point Rd. just look for the red tractor!

If you visit the farm you almost certainly will be greeted by our 4 parrots (3 of whom are rescued or re-homed birds). You'll see an aquaponics greenhouse -- a truly sustainable ecosystem -- where we grow lots of leafy greens and where we give our other fruiting plants (like tomatoes, cucumbers, etc.) a great start in life before we transplant them into organically fertilized soil. And you'll undoubtedly see our flock of free-range Muscovy ducks that are almost too cute to be believed.

You may see some of the other "critters" who share our lives, including Penny the formerly feral pet pig, our horse, Kai, who roams free on the farm, and our miniature goat Matilda. And you may be able to pet our 15 year old greeter kitty Pico if he's not enjoying one of his many naps.

Paradise Meadows is also home to our resident artist Megan Collins. You can see her work by visiting her website, and if you visit the farm, be sure to visit the art gallery where you can see the originals covering the walls of our farmhouse.

So -- welcome to Paradise Meadows. Make yourself at home. Feel free to browse around. And if you're ever on the Big Island of Hawaii, come down & visit us. We'd love to show you around.

  •   Great, beautiful place for coffee and mac nuts.  Also, it has a food trailer on the property.   Great coffee and fun people!  Highly recommend!

  • This was an exceptionally unexpected stop on our way to South Point. Coffee was great! Abundant samples from the friendly staff encouraged purchases of cookies and chocolate covered macadamia nuts that we now will be adding to our stock with an online order. Delicious! We enjoyed the self guided walking tour of their 'farm' before heading down the road. A must stop if you are in the area. 🙂

  • Plan accordingly for a 75 minutes one way hike. Or take the shuttle offered by locals. Don't go after 2 PM if planning a hike

  • Small little farm with a quaint, little, not and coffee shop. The employees were engaged, helpful, and very knowledgeable. Full on great experience. Free to walk the small main area you will discover birds, an overly friendly pig looking for belly rubs, a classic International tractor, and a few surprises left by the birds and pig. Take a moment to visit the main house and check out the art for sale. Small paintings all the way up to large, wall filling, Hawaii and other themed beauties. Some pieces range into the thousands in price, but maybe something will speak to you and the price won't be an issue.

  • We stopped in to check out this lush location and their free samples. Man we were surprised! They've made this into a beautiful little tourist stop with plenty to see on the property, as well as enjoy coffee, slushies, and macadamia nuts. The nuts were the best we tried on the island. Worth the stop, and definitely worth taking home a few goodies too. Staff was so friendly and helpful!
